Our Real Origin

    The Land & Legacy

TITIN originates from Jaen, Spain—the Olive Oil Capital, where 97% of the land is olive groves and our family has lived for over a century.

The name comes from our great-grandmother Titin, who began cultivating these groves more than 100 years ago.

    The Grooves

"Grooves" represent more than ancient trunk lines—they're our story's heartbeat.

They symbolize the land's rhythm, generational wisdom from our women, and our oil's distinct character. Each groove tells of resilience and our family's enduring grove connection.

    The Connection

From our olive varieties to Jaen's unique microclimates across Linares, Espeluy, Villanueva de la Reina, and Andújar

Every TITIN bottle captures its origin's essence. Taste the devotion, heritage, and sun-soaked landscape in every drop.

The Process

From grove to bottle, we keep things simple, natural, and honest—just like our oil.

The Harvest

We offer two extra virgin olive oils:

  • Finishing Oil – harvested early (October) for brighter flavor and higher polyphenol content
  • Universal Oil – harvested in November for peak flavor and health benefits

Earlier harvests mean greener olives and richer taste. Later harvests yield more oil but lose aroma and nutrition. We choose better over more.

The Variety

We primarily grow Picual, Jaen's native olive known as the world's healthiest due to extremely high polyphenol levels. We also produce limited Arbosana and Frantoio editions for experimentation and unique character.

The Picking

Our harvest combines machines and people. Olives never touch the ground—we use nets to prevent impurities and acidity. They go straight to hoppers for cleaning.

The Pressing

Olives are crushed, pits separated, and pulp cold-pressed without heat or chemicals. This preserves flavor, aroma, and nutrition—pure liquid gold as nature intended.

The Bottling

Our Olive Oil is stored in oxygen-free stainless steel tanks, protected from light, heat, and air until bottling. Each batch is lab-tested and tagged with traceability codes showing exact grove origins—honoring the land, process, and consumer trust.

About Us (The Owners)

  • Daniel Danés, Founder

“After four years working as a financial lawyer in Madrid, I felt a deep pull to create something of my own. My dream led me to a scholarship at Babson College in Boston to pursue my MBA. While I was there, thousands of miles from home, I discovered a significant problem: it was incredibly difficult to find authentic, high-quality olive oil in the U.S.”

“Inspired by my great-grandmother, TITIN, from whom I inherited a deep love and respect for authentic olive oil, I spent my final year of business school researching a solution. I made the bold decision to start a company with a singular mission: to sell the best olive oil in the United States at a fair price. My goal is to give everyone the opportunity to invest in their health and enjoy a product rich in the family tradition I grew up with.”

    Casilda Cortés, Creative Director

“When Daniel embarked on his American adventure, I decided to join him. After seven years at Pernod Ricard, I chose to pursue my own dream, enrolling in a Master of Arts program at Tufts University.

“Combining my elegant style and artistic sensibilities with the skills learned during my master's program, I've taken charge of developing the TITIN brand's creative vision. I'm the creative force behind the scenes, ensuring that the brand’s identity is as authentic and beautiful as the olive oil it represents.”
