Titin

  • Titin is more than just a name; it’s a legacy. The story begins with our great-grandmother, nicknamed Titin, whose passion for olive oil sparked the foundation of everything we do. Her love for this liquid gold was passed down to our grandmother (also nicknamed Titin), who expanded the family business. Now, the third Titin – our mother – proudly continues this cherished tradition.

  • The idea of bringing Titin to the world came from the eldest son of the third Titin (the great-grandson). While pursuing an MBA at Babson College, he struggled to find exceptional olive oil in the U.S. at a fair price. Inspired by his family’s legacy, he decided to pursue his entrepreneurial dream of sharing the same high-quality olive oil his great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother have perfected, ensuring that everyone can enjoy premium olive oil at an affordable price – just like in Spain.

  • Our mission is simple: to ensure everyone knows exactly what they’re putting on their plate and where it comes from. Transparency, quality, and authenticity are at the heart of everything we do.

    • Single origin.
    • Single variety.
    • Full traceability.

Because you deserve nothing less than the best.

product

  • Our olive oil is proudly produced in Jaen, Spain – the world’s olive oil capital, responsible for about 30% of global production.

  • We control every step of the supply chain, from the olive tree to your table (if you buy from this website 😊), ensuring 100% traceability and unmatched quality. Plus, our process allows us to offer premium olive oil at fair prices because there are no middlemen, our olive oil is coming directly from the source.

  • Our Picual olive oil carries Jaen’s certification seal and tracking number. For our Arbosana and Frantoio oils, while they don’t bear the seal (as these varieties aren’t native to Jaen), they’re still cultivated and produced there.

Want to see it for yourself? Visit us in Jaen! Just drop us a message, and we’ll show you Titin’s home, olive groves, and factory.

  • Our bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic (except for the cap and label) to reduce environmental impact. They’re BPA-free, recyclable, and maintain the oil’s quality. In Spain, where most olive oil is sold in plastic bottles, we’ve taken it a step further by using sustainable RPET packaging.

  • Our products are certified NON-GMO, VEGAN, and PGI (Protected Indication Geographical). The PGI certification applies to our Picual oil, the native variety of Jaen. While our Arbosana and Frantoio oils don’t carry the PGI label (as these varieties aren’t native to Jaen), they are just as carefully crafted there.

  • The Finishing Oil has a vibrant green hue due to its high chlorophyll content, while the Universal Oil is golden – Spain’s “liquid gold.” Over time, the green oil naturally turns golden as it gradually loses chlorophyll. Remember, color is simply a reflection of harvest timing, not quality.

What’s the difference between Finishing and Universal Olive Oil?
It’s all about when the olives are harvested.

    • Finishing Oil: Early-harvested for bold, fresh flavors. Perfect for enhancing dishes.
    • Universal Oil: Later-harvested for versatility, great for both cooking and seasoning.
    • Finishing Oil: Drizzle it over dishes for a finishing touch of flavor. Check out our tasting notes or get creative!
    • Universal Oil: Use it for everything – from cooking to dressing, just like Spanish people do.

Pro tip: Consume olive oil within 3 months of opening for optimal freshness, even though our "best by" date is two years from bottling. This is because, once the oil is exposed to oxygen, it starts oxidizing and gradually loses its beneficial properties.

In Spain, the average person consumes 1 liter per month, so it usually doesn’t last long! Olive oil is the pillar of the Mediterranean diet! 😊

    • Variety: Is it single-origin or blended?
    • Harvest date: Be cautious of misleading "early harvest" claims without proof. Early harvest typically means September-October (depending on the variety) in Spain, while normal harvest occurs in November (for the best quality) in Spain.
    • Packaging: Always opt for opaque bottles to shield the oil from light, which can degrade its quality. Light damages olive oil, reducing its chlorophyll content and making it turn yellow faster.
